Vonage rocks, new price
Vonage dropped the price of their unlimited plan from $34.99/mo to $29.99/mo. For me it was already far cheaper and more useful than a similar plan from Verizon. I’ve been using Vonage for my two landlines since last July and can’t complain. The downside to VoIP is obviously that if your network connection is out, so are your phones. Fortunately, Vonage allows you to have your calls forwarded to another number when this happens. It is totally seemless as I’ve found out recently - we’ve had trouble with our cable modem access via Time Warner recently. I’m not a total geek with redundant connections … yet. Maybe its time? It still would be cheaper than what I was paying for a single Verizon landline.
